This pair of Wild Writing Women have taught self-publishing for years, and have been writing, traveling, and teaching together for many years. They formed Good to Go Media to offer books, workshops, courses, and consulting on every aspect of self-publishing for everyone from one-book authors to emerging publishing empires. They get their best ideas when they’re hiking together in the hills of Marin County, California.




Lisa Alpine has been a professional writer, dancer, teacher, and entrepreneur for 35 years. She is the Global Getaways columnist for Examiner.com and has been the travel columnist for the Pacific Sun for over a decade. Lisa, an acclaimed teacher and coach, leads writing workshops all over the world and teaches a plethora of topics from Travel Writing to Dance as a Healing Art Form. She has taught Book Birthing for over seven years, assisting dozens of authors in book development and self-publishing. Lisa has just published Exotic Life: Laughing Rivers, Dancing Drums and Tangled Hearts, a collection of too-true stories. She is also working on a book about her dance wisdom. Her publishing house name is Dancing Words Press.

Lisa and Carla are members of the California Writers Club, Bay Area Travel Writers, Bay Area Independent Publishers Association,
Small Publishers Association of North America, and the Northern California Book Publicity and Marketing Association.

Carla King has worked in the high-tech industry as a technical and marketing writer, multimedia editor, information architect, web designer, social media consultant, trainer, and project leader. In the mid-90s she became famous for her realtime dispatches to the internet from a journey around the USA on a cranky Russian motorcycle. She self-published her first book, about bicycling in France, in 1994. Her skills have evolved with the development of technology, and she loves the design and publishing tools in the Adobe Creative Suite. Carla is currently publishing the second book in a series of motorcycle misadventures. Her publishing house name is Misadventures Media.
